Isn’t it cute! I planted hens and chicks in a tea cup for my bedroom. :)
I also made one for Tasha in an old jelly jar. :)
We always are saying how we “love” our family and our friends, but do we truly love them?
Jn. 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
1Jn. 4:20-21 If we say we love God, but hate others, we are liars. For we cannot love God, whom we have not seen, if we do not love others, whom we have seen.
The command that Christ has given us is this: whoever loves God must love others also.
Not only should we say we love one another but show our love by acts of kindness. When we do these acts of kindness it however should not be for own benefit. We often do things and expect some sort of thanks in return for our small deeds. Jesus showed us undying love, by giving His life, and He did not go around saying “Look what I have done for you, now thank Me, Give Me gifts of thanks, be grateful!” Yet we go and do small things for people and seek out the thanks and almost tell people to be grateful. We not only expect thanks but we go around telling others of the acts that we have done, we boast of what we should be humble about. It really can be hard though to show our love and be servants when people are ungrateful of we have done. Yet how thankful are we for what God did for us?
Jn._13:34 I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. As I have loved you, you should also love one another.
1Jn. 3:18 My children, our love should not be just words and talk; it must be true love, which shows itself in action.
Php. 2:2-5 I urge you, then, to make me completely happy by having the same thoughts, sharing the same love, and being one in soul and mind.
Don't do anything from selfish ambition or from a cheap desire to boast, but be humble toward one another, always considering others better than yourselves.
And look out for one another's interests, not just for your own.
The attitude you should have is the one that Christ Jesus had.
The last few weeks I have been looking for people to practice photography on. My boyfriend’s mom asked if I could practice on their daughter Frankie. I said yes of course, not only would I get practice, but she is such a sweet little girl. I had a lot of fun. :)
I did not realize however how much harder a child would be compared to a teenager! haha It was a little harder, one because I have never done a child’s photos and because it was sunny! Not the usual complaint I have, I love the sun, except when I‘m taking pic’s.
I’m excited though! My boss is staring to train me to take senior portraits. So I have also been trying to find teens to come in and let me practice on them. I had one friend from church come in to the studio, he really helped, but now I need to find a girl. It really is amazing though how many teens don’t like having their pictures taken. lol
I am being patient though, I have all summer to work on it. :)
This was after 2 months together, on our first “date”, with friends.
This is our Prom Pic.
This was from about a year ago, when Josh took me on a trip to Seattle. :)
This is one of our most recent pictures. After three years and one month together. :)
I can hardly believe we have been together for so long, but at the same time it feels like it was just yesterday. They have been fantastic years though. Of course not perfect years, we have had our ups and downs, our quarrels and agreements, our tears and laughs. I have loved every moment though. :)
And Now I look forward to a lifetime with this wonderful man. :)
YES! I said “YES” hahaha I am engaged to be married. :D
My boyfriend who was, decided to take me out to lunch on Sunday after Church. So we went to Subway, from there Josh wanted to walk to the lake, I however did not. It was pouring down rain, as it often does in Washington. lol He told me that it wasn’t that far and we could just walk fast. Right…. I was wearing a dress with flip-flops, my feet were very wet by the time we made it to the dock.
Whatever, we made it there, I then proceed to sit under the cover on the bench to eat. I open up my sandwich and Josh comes and stands next to me, he asked me what I was doing. I simply told him I was going to eat my food (thought that was what you did when you went to “lunch”) lol.
Oh, just a side thought, throughout the proceedings on the dock, a couple was standing out on their porch watching us (weird).
Well he continued to hover above me, and asked if I could wait a minuet. Next thing I know he is on one knee!
I didn’t know what to think, he completely took me by surprise! I just looked at him and asked if he was serious (as if he was messing around down on one knee for the fun of it)… He asked me if I even saw the ring he had in his hand. So I looked, as he pulled out and put it on my hand. :) YAY
Though, honestly, I don’t know I really said “yes”, I can’t remember. hahahaha
After we talked for a minuet or two he told me that there was a second part to the surprise, my family and His were supposed to be there. I wasn’t that upset though that they weren’t though, being as I was crying. However when I got up to hug him our families jump out of some persons bushes cheering. haha
They had asked the couple, who was standing on their porch, if they could use the bushes to hide behind. Apparently the couple cheered too and were crying and said it was just like watching a live movie. ;)
Our goal is to be married by October 20th. :) I cannot wait to see where God leads us on our future path. Please pray for us, that the planning will go smooth and with little stress.
Thanks, Love, Sarah :)
My sister and I share a bedroom, it makes for two very small spaces in one smallish room. Sharing isn’t a big deal, it just makes for a challenge when organizing…
My desk (above) only looks like that about two to three days out of the week. Most the time I have art supplies or crafting things all over. lol
My drawer is nice and organized though, I use jars to hold most of my stuff.
Tasha gave me two of these cute canisters, they were in my hope chest, till I thought of a use for them…
The small one, bellow, holds my small scraps of fabric.
The big one holds my small balls of yarn. :)
When I am sewing or doing any sort of craft I always have a ton of things out at once. They always end up spread out and ALL over. So grabbed a Pyrex bowl from my hope chest and use it for my half completed projects! :)
Now one of the canisters sits on my dresser, the other up on a shelf. The two small jars on the dresser hold hair bands and bobby pins, the little blue tin I put my crocheted and fabric flowers in. So even though my space is small I’m able to find a place for everything (for the most part) lol. :)
This is the center of a mango…
